So I have heard of this tale of a warehouse full of vintage bikes in the area. Versions of the story vary greatly from person to person. Basically a bike dealer disappeared, leaving his stock in the warehouse to rot for years.
Along with others I have searched for this hidden treasure of the Midwest. Finally I have found it! The Holy Grail!
Sadly, it all fit in one box.
I gather the bulk of this stuff has been gone for years. I bought the last of it. Most of it went to a single vintage dealer. I won't tell who, but if you spend much time on eBay, you already know.
Meh, I scored a few nice bits. And have a decent story.
The red and white seat is a Brooks. I also scored a D.P. Harris "Crown" worn, an Oxford headlight new in the bag, and a few other things.
