Whitewalls weren't the stock tire on any Fastback, guys just like them for the Black Fastbacks because of this book:

There is a great picture of a restored Black Fastback in the book (it could be an original paint bike, I forget) with whitewalls. Since then it seems like every Black Fastback has them!
