well i have not been on here much lately i have been kinda busy with the bicycle season in full swing im getting a lot of requests for modifications and such on the bicycle community however small it may be but i have made time to get my camaro a few needed updates to make her look good although shes my baby and i love her almost as much as my wife( note i said almost my couch hurts my back when i have to sleep on it so let's just leave it at that lol) but back to my bike i have made a few modifications the first one being i decided to ditch my aquatread tires for a pair of slicks which work great on pavement but make sure you don't hit loose dirt or your going down trust me i had this experience on the bobby estus memorial bike ride my opinion is their very overrated im personally do not like them but im keeping them on until i can decide what to put on her next.
second is the major score i been wanting to do for a couple years my saddlebags!!!!!! bought them for 10 bucks and with a few modifications they work and are on the bike.
their a little shaky but they aren't going anywhere i will most likely make some sort of bracket to better mount them. they actually look good but i discovered i think my rear rack is crooked since one side seems to be crooked i will see if i can tweak them but for now im ok with them as they sit.
next step is wiring the lights and making a 4 way junction box for the headlight and convert it to led and wire the lights on the saddlebags in as well as the taillights on the rack anyone got any ideas on how to wire up such a setup? also what kind of battery would have enough power to power all these lights and last longer then a few minutes
more updates soon
sean

Did you use individual hard wired LED's or replace the existing bulbs with LED replacement bulbs?

Those saddlebags are awesome! Such a great idea! What brand are they? They don't look too big at all.

Led lights work with a 12 volt system, I use 8 aa battery's with this battery pack. 1 aa at 1.5 volts= 8 at 12 volts, lights are always bright
that is actually awesome news!!!!! I am trying to wire up the original saddlebag lights and my headlight to one system I will use a setup like this I think thanks for sharing

thanks crazykort I'm not sure what brand they are the guy I bought them form had a Honda and he said they were too small for his motorcycle I am superspyched to find these I have been wanting to run saddlebags for a very long time and now after 2 years in the making I have them I have discovered that you have to be creative with brackets to make them sturdy they will shake a lot and do add weight but when you are riding it is ok but I recommend a front brake setup f you have coaster brakes however I feel like you only need brakes if you intend to stop and I aint never stopping lol I will probably post a how to but to be honest these things took every ounce of my patience and me being irish patience is not one of my best qualities not to mention the extreme heat in my shop I so need air conditioning n there lol but the look outweighs the hassle I am very happy with the results and glad you guys are digging it
