Not by any means a Schwinn guy so this bike had me a bit puzzled. I was told that it was a 1968 when I bought it. Serial number is L863386. I do not see any 1968 "speedsters" in a canti frame style. Checking Anglefire codes it seems to be a 1958. Any help on year or confirmation would be appreciated. Thanks.
I'd guess that's a '58 American or similar, with a 60s Speedster guard in matching opalescent red. The canti Speedster had a different guard, with a V shaped dip behind the chain ring. -Adam
