What's really sad is that once the parts are separated, they will not return back together. For instance, the fork is in Texas, the frame is in Maine, the wheels are in Montana, etc. The more people part out bikes = the less original bikes there are in this world. :( lol bikes don't have feelings what am I talking about?

Just a bit over $2K, hard to say but he might actually have done as well or better keeping that one together.

I was thinking the same thing...I have no idea what that bike would have brought complete...sure would have looked nice though.

A few more dooodads on it but basically the same bike but unrestored(which should up the ante), but it'll be interesting to see, it's at $1525 with 6 days to go

So I'm assuming those are horns up top on the handlebars?

Are they battery powered?

Ya got me, some are horns but I've never had a bike with all those

On second glance there are a bunch of wires going to the tank, so I gues they all are, seems excessive. Maybe a secondary use was as a wind/bug deflector :)

Those are horns mounted up on the bars. AAAOOOOGAH!

You usually don't see these bikes sold complete, they are almost always parted out because they are worth more in pieces.

I bought a '36 Motorbike frame a while back and it cost me more than I have ever spent on a single bike part. I already had some matching parts, but since I bought it I realized it would have made a lot more sense to just save the money and buy a complete bike. The tanks on these bikes, if you can find one, are crazy expensive.

(see my signature) I need bars, a seat and truss rods to make mine rideable (sans tank and some other details). I should have looked for a '39 DX in retrospect, but this one will be a long, long, term project.

okay.........thats it!!!!!!!!!i saw that 6 hole rack went for $160 +
i might just have to find mine and sell it.........w  w
yeah they normally do bring more parted than whole(thats true with cars also in my experience)
