Thanks all, these answers are detailed and really great. Im not sure If Im quite as avid about the gorgeous finish, but for future investments, this page has become a little trove of personal information Ill stow away.

I appreciate all your replies, and with another day passing, consider something new I wouldnt have otherwise without you guys.

The under rated amount of credit you guys get is a tragedy given your knowledge.
To some its just a knick nack hobby, but this is really useful!

Actually, you can. in the spray can form I do it to all my shiny bikes. The trick is to have Patience let the Enamel dry for like a week, then mist on the first coat of Lacquer. Let it dry a couple of days, then First full coat...Not too thick ...light..wait 2 more days the apply a nice coat, 2 days , another coat etc etc.

THe secret is Patience !!!

That is sexy! How durable do you think it will be?

THe lacquer is harder than enamel and I think its glossier too.:cool2:
