I was thinking the same thing - I was looking for a set of those skirts. There was a set w/chainguard that just sold on eBay for $125. I'm sure the other bits have some resale value too. Well, I left the dude a voicemail but haven't gotten a call back, so we'll see...

Well, I heard back from the guy. He told me that the top tube was installed on it when he got it. Apparently, it's welded to the seat post clamp and has a washer on the other end that goes under the steer tube nut. Sound hokey to me, but it doesn't matter since the value is in the other parts on the bike.

He agreed to sell it to me for $100, so I'm sending my niece (who lives a few miles away from the seller) to get it for me. Then I can pick it up next time I go up to Buffalo. :D

Well, my niece went to get it for me on Saturday. I'm supposed to drive up to Buffalo this weekend to pick it up. The trouble is, it seems, that I might not be able to get her to give it up! She seems to have taken a particular liking to the bike...

I picked this bike up today.

It's mostly complete, but missing the front fender and the rear carrier jewel reflectors. It looks like the "convertible" bar was made from the top tube of another bike. It's welded to the seat post clamp, and through bolted to the actual top tube behind the head tube. It's removable enough, but will leave behind the hole through the tube.

I'm really only interested in the skirt guards, chain guard and maybe rear fender. I'll probably part out the rest and put the pieces up here...
