Oh my Trek And also a marin

You know, I don't even know why I got this, but it was basicly free so i couldn't say no.
Person wanted laptop. I had said laptop that was given to me then sat and did nothing so I offered it and I got this lovely trek lol
I personaly think it's a piece of crap but it proberly aint as big as I think it is, guess i'll add some mudflaps and rack and ride it to work sometimes

no doubt! my 950 is one of the toughest bikes I ever owned, still my go to bike for quick errands.. :mrgreen:

Lol I'm also a fan of trek to. But seeing a few parts on this bike made me frown, why didn't they spend abit more and put them few things better.

That's why trek names their bikes with numbers... want better parts, get a higher number and pay a higher price! :wink:

I'd just upgrade it, i didn't pay for it so the price was right, see that yellow lable on the bottom of the fork? that was a good lol it means I gotta replace them, it basicly said they suck very politely

I'm not familiar, what does the sticker say? Just noticed it is disc brakes, cool.

Basicly it says no freeriding, dirt jumping, downhilling and jumping, and offroading why does it have suspention then? lol

Wow, haha, I would expect that on a hybrid bike or "comfort bike" shock, but this bike looks like serious business! I love how every "trick" bike in Walmart has a No Jumping, No Tricks sticker on it.

Yeah lol I noticed that on their bikes, when I seen this stickers i was questioning the fork, I like the type of paint they use too on these. just noticed the brake leavers, they are TekTro I seen that brank on alot of department store bikes, how can these awesome companys tarnish their name, poor Raleigh will never be the same. anyway I likes the frame on this and the darker colors. i'll keep it for abit and if I like it i'll buy a new fork and stuff for it

Does Trek have the rights to Raleigh's name now? I'm wondering because I was comparing my friend's late 90s Raleigh to my 2000 Gary Fisher (made by Trek) and the frames look identical! Same company?

I rode it around, its not bad, but dosn`t beat my nakamura lol

So tonight I met a metal collecter, hes actualy nice I scored this marin free, with exchange of my scrap metal he gets and he gives me bikes, fair deal to me lol. Frame may be no good, lots of rust at bb, everything else is good, the bikes fully loaded, gots everything, even had new tubes and pads in packaging in the back, new pads are awesome ones too!.

Better pic! I looked at the rust today and the frame is still safe but ugly now, What does that to a frame in that area only? theres also one on top tube, kinda weird that the rest of the bikes still there, the cables turned to rest and broke apart like sand, front derailer also did lol
