Whoops forget my comment. I had you confused with Cman thinking you lived N/W and would be passing by

definately a murray frame but i dont know how to date them, i sold a girls version in similar shape for $50 this summer not knowing much about it other than it looked to be an early 60s to me

I wouldn't say you got hosed, but you didn't hose the guy you bought it from either. Looks like it could be a cool start for a project, or just clean/re-grease and cruise. Murrays are my favorite brand... Especially the spaceliner.

thx for everyones help, now just need to cram in car and take back to texas.

I'm a JC Higgins fan. I have an early 50's women's Color Flow and a men's bike from the early 60's. They have all the original components but they are in the "needs to be restored" category. The women's bike only needs to be repainted because some clown decided to paint his garage without a drop cloth while the bike was inside, and the guys bike has a slight patina to it, the type most RRB builders would leave alone.

I paid around $100 for each, but I live in Ohio were so many of the classic balloon tire bikes were made. They're rare, but not like you would expect them to be in far away states like Texas. So take that as a grain of salt, because I would also say that for me to pay $250 for a bike it would have to be in near perfect condition. Give me a couple of years outside of Ohio and I might change my mind.

Dear God, please get me a couple of years outside of Ohio....Please!
