Hey dudes! My name is Roland but my friends call me "Redd". I grew up in the 70's when muscle cars and custom vans were the rage. At an early age I started to draw cars and cartoon characters. As a kid, I always enjoyed the George Trosley artwork in CARtoons magazine, especially Krass & Bernie. I also admired the Ed "Big Daddy" Roth stuff (of course, who doesn't right?) and the old Odd Rod stickers we used to buy at the corner store. I got into the skate scene in the 70's and frequented skate parks around the state. Later on, I got involved in music and had been in a few bands, one of which produced three studio albums. Ahhh... the good old days! We got to hang out backstage with some big time bands like Destroyer and Ring of Fire, and even got to party with some porn stars downstate! For about the better part of roughly 15 years, my life was more whacked than Charlie Sheen's! We probably could have taught him Partying 101! I had a small auto body shop about 40 miles north of here for 6 years and even built a custom truck out of an old sedan to haul my snowmachine. About 15 years later, I started feeling nostalgic and decided to buy a bicycle. I bought a beach cruiser because I liked the vintage look and almost immediately started to "rat" it. Finishing it with some vintage parts that I traded some of my art work (did I forget to mention that?) for, I immediately had the itch to build another one. So... I built another one. That turned into opening a custom bike shop operating for a few short years. So... long story short, I moved back to the valley for the third (or fourth?) time and I'm still riding! But I thinned out my collection from ten bikes to three, it got a little out of hand! Well thanks for reading my intro, glad to be here... ROCK ON! 8)

Welcome to the forum fellow New Hampshirite. share some photos of your work when you can. you'll find no end to great ideas here, or friendly and helpful folks for that matter.

Thanks dudes! I'll post some pics as soon as i can figure out how to do it (I'm a computer moron!) Yeah I already got an idea from those beer bike builds for my '59 Western Flyer that's been sitting in my pantry in pieces for months. I saw one of those little beer kegs at Wally World and thought it might make a great "tank" and maybe a big beer can modified into a headlight and attached to the front fender! What do you guys think?

Yeah, I saw that bike a while back Luke, pretty outrageous, huh? My Western Flyer is total rat rod so I think I want to not get too crazy on it. Hey, check out the "Show us your..." section and take a look at my bike. I figured out how to post pics. Hit me back later and let me know what you think. Have a good one man! 8)
