Here are the finished pics of the One Day bike build, except for the chain.

Well, I broke one of my own rules for this 1 day build. I had to go buy a chain today. Actually I had to buy 2 of them, it was so long a standard chain was about 6 links to short, but it is on. I even rode it just to make sure it would go straight.

. I want to thank to people who have responded with the cool comments. I really had a blast doing this, and it did clean up some room in the garage. I took an old frame to the powdercoat guys today to get it sand-blasted, since I have more room for it now. John.

That took a day? milking the job huh? I did mine in 15 minutes. Looks good.

OKAY, so it really didn't take me all day, more like about 6 hours. But most of that time was sorting through stuff and laying it out to see what was going to work. Then, when I decided to clean and re-grease the hubs.....and dropping everything out of the rear hub. I spent about an hour trying to find where all the pieces bounced when they hit the floor. Also having a 14 year old daughter to shuffle around to the mall took time. The 6 hour bike just didn't sound right. I think I might do another one this weekend! John.

Thanks for the comment. During the winter months, I find myself at alot of auctions and such. It is amazing what you can find out there. John.

The weird thing about this build, now that it is a bike, I really enjoy riding this one. All my previous projects have had a different feel to them, and not really rideable, but this one rides really nice. The most surprising thing is the seat is really comfortable, and it has a coat of sealer on it so I don't need to update my shots!
