I bought an old tank that I thought might fit in my son's frame. Now that I see the tank in the frame, I'm wondering if it might be too fat for him to pedal? What do you guys think? That's a 20" frame.

Also If I do keep that tank, do you think the text/graphics should go on the sides or each side of the top?

Thanks for your opinions/advice.

I too think that frame deserves a more fitted tank but if you want to keep it, watch how your song rides any other bike and think about how you ride, rarely are your knees close together.

Also, if you want to keep that frame on that bike, I'm not entirely clear on how it's put together, but I bet with some heavy tin snips you could narrow the tank.

Ok, you guys are saying what I was thinking, but I just needed affirmation. I bought the tank on a whim for $10. I haven't even seen it in person, as a friend has the bike while I'm away at a long school.

Ok, back to Plan A, he's either going to make a fitted tank or put weld a metal sheet in there.

Try putting the tank in upside down, might look decent that way. -Adam
It's just too fat.

There is a possiblity we may cut it down to make it thinner. But then it still doesn't "fit", so... We'll know in a week or so.

If you were going to mod the tank, it might look good modded to push forward and wrap halfway around the headtube, or make a form out of a block of wood and hammer metal over it to make a tank.
