Picked this project up for $10! The seller told me the springer was schwinn since it has the S bolts but I have my doubts.... The bars are Og schwinn though, I love um'...The frame is a repop krate...I have all original fastback/stingray/stardust parts to build it with...It's going to be sweet 8) Ill be posting an updated pic in a few days!

Still waiting for the nos grey rear brake cable to match the old school Sturmey Archer 3-speed cable. (it's the only part I had to buy for the build.) It shifts and rides oh so nice :D I may change up a couple things but it's pretty much done and I like the look.

Re: Orange Krate repro build-

Picture isn't real clear, but the spring retainer looks to have a rounder shape than most repops. Makes me think it is a schwinn fork.

Sweet deal even if it were all repop.

i liked it more as a crate...

looks good anyway

If it was an original krate I may have left it but I just wanted somthing differnt and I think they look goofy with the little front tire 8)

Dead sure its a 1998 repop frame and forks, sprocket, rear sissy with shocks, front wheel all 1998.Rear 5 speed is an original stingray/krate unit.Seat is a greyghost repop.Bars and gooseneck arent stingray type but could be schwinn.
If you got that for 10 bucks you are the man!!
The front repop springer is near dead on to the originals and are highly desirable. The 1998 repop stingrays are very well made and close to original in many aspects, good find.
Thought id lend a hand

That sounds about right.. it was sold to me as a 98 repop project but he thought the springer maybe schwinn. How can I tell for sure if springer is repop? Id doesnt look like the springers I see on other 98 repops..This has some diffent bends.Cool either way I guess...in the second pic it has schwinn stardust wheels/hubs/shifter/sprocket/ bars/stem/grips/brake/gaurd.fender/ clips ect...I would like to put an orange krate chain gaurd and grips on it but cant justify the cost when I only have $35 into the bike at this point

I like the skinny tires. A super fat 3"slick would be cool out back, but the skinny tires look good.

I like the idea of a bigger slick in the back...I wonder if it would fit? I ended up chaning up a few thing and will post a new pic soon 8)
