It was a bit rainy today, but I promised my boy that we could go for a short ride, so we rode to one of the local parks. Me on my fat bike, him on his. He loved it! Got to ride across the playground sand, across the wood chips, and several loops around the park. It was great! Here is the aftermath:

Kids playing in the dirt....never gets old! (neither do the kids...)

I am holding off doing a finished build post until a couple parts come in later this week. A member of MTBR saw this build over there and was nice enough to send me some parts that may be lighter than whats on there now..... I will know tomorrow, but I think there are some nice 100g brake rotors and a Thompson seat post!

Very cool build.
Love what you did with the wheels

We did a 5 mile ride on Monday, it was GREAT! His only complaint is that the grips are a bit thick, and he asked if I can paint the handlebars black, because the silver is distracting... LOL

So, I ordered some new grips, and will paint his bar black... Then this bike is DONE!

You can get tubeless valves at any bike shop that has mountain bikes. Most of them are presta valves, but Stans offers a Schrader valve too...

Or you can set them up split tube, that way works well too.....
