I've been after a Swiss Army bike for some time. Every once in a while I would run across one but the prices always had too many numbers in them. I found this one last weekend and it was in my price range so it came home with me. 8)

There is some good info out there about these things but most of the sites are in German or Dutch.

Very nice! It´s one of the older ones with only a stamp-brake on front-wheel. Maybe it could give problems with getting new tires for it,´cause the rims aren´t for normal tires.

regards, Paul

Yes, it came from Trexlertown. I was at both swap meets, the one for old bikes and the one in the Velodrome. There was another one of these at the Hershey car show but it was missing the bags.
The tires are actually in good shape on this bike so hopefully I won't have to source one for a long time. The only thing the bike should have done is the front wheel needs respoked. I tried to true it but all the spokes are frozen.

Sooooooooooo..... How much? Im kicking myself for not going to Trexlertown.

Wellll...

Let's just say it was more that I wanted to pay but a lot cheaper than the others I've seen in the past. A guy was pushing it through the show and there was a lot of interest in it.
There was a similar one at the Hershey car show for the same price but it was missing the bags.

Both Trexlertown shows are a blast. The old bike show is a big social event that starts as soon as the second guy arrives on Saturday afternoon. (It's supposed to run from 6-2 on Sunday but vendors start showing up as early as 3:00 on Saturday.)
Always a lot of good stuff there. Super cheap and super nice items are what sells.

The bike swap at the Velodrome is very fast-moving. it's 99% newer bikes and parts but interesting things always show up. There are some killer deals to be had there. If you see something you like and the price is right you better grab it. If you don't, the next guy will. I almost got mauled when a vendor announced that the new tires in the pile I was picking through were $5.00 each. (Ever see seagulls devour a funnel cake? You get the picture... ) I did manage to escape with three tires and most of my fingers.

The old bike show is always the first Sunday in October and the Velodrome swap is usually the following Saturday.

Nice evasion.... lol. Never kiss and tell. I get it.

Sick find. I couldnt get outta work for that Sunday. None of my minions wanted to cover my boss shift. Theyre all getting fired one by one now as I take my revenge for missing the swapmeet....

If you want one, these guys have about 100 of them. I love the picture of all of them in the storage racks.

Click on vehicles then bicycles.

I wonder if they would throw in a free bike or two with the purchase of a Pinzgauer?

Their price is about the same as what I paid for mine. (not including shipping)
