hey all, i needed a bike to ride this coming Sunday sooo i dug this out of my pile. i have no clue what it is, it had 26" wheels w/1 3/8 tires on it crome rime, sq. cranks with pins in it to hold em, 10 speed, frickion shifters and a schwin confort spring seat, ugly yellow paint. the rims were made in holland and the tires are now special prdered as they are alittle taller then a 26' rim of today. so anybody got any ideas? this thing was all rusted out real bad and the only thing worth saving was the frame, forks, saddle and the rims but there is a prob with the back so the only thing i used on this bike was the frame, forks, back fender and seat. i had a set of reg. 26' rims and cleaned them up, they are crome, still a little rust on those but i like it. i had to leave the 5 speed gears on it and i put in a new sealed bottom spindle and my old mtb cranks. the tires are new and they are 1.90"s, very tight fit.i made it a single speed. sanded down the frame to the metal then repainted it colional red. everything else on this i had laying around. started this project last Fri. and finished it up today ready to ride. i will keep it the way it is till i get one of my other bike up an running then i will take this bike down and lace up a single 18 gear coaster hub i have and put on a old set of road cranks with a 44 tooth. i may change out the bars and do a little more paint work that i didn't have time to do yet. so here he is, Outlaws Rat. anyone got a good name for him, i can't think of anything? ran out of room, will paste some more. thanks, Outlaw :mrgreen:
