Glad it worked out

It's happened twice made a post about a mini Twinn 10 years ago that came true as well. I chalk it up to all the good karma I've picked up over the decade of dealing with bikes.

Thursday I may be trading the green tandem for a sweet old ride. Gain storage space, gets me into an older bike, and I can hang it up. Win win.

Got it! So I moved the tandem out and another hangable bike in. Made enough space I don't feel bad about the rest of the truckload I got. I'll get pictures when I get home and drop this stuff off.

So traded the tandem for the 36 Huffman as planned and she's a beauty. So after than it was a good day that started with a free frame.

then I got the tank, chain guard, and fenders for $30. Score!

then I paid $30 for these sweet curved brace peaked fenders for my Elgin.

then this pile of fenders was $20 so why not. Set 1

Rack was a freebie too.
Paid $30 for this skiptooth wheel set and got the Bendix red band set free.

Excuse my cluttered mess of a storage unit but here's more pictures from the other day's haul. Lots of fender sets, a nearly complete roadmaster girl's tank bike, a skiptooth wheel set, a regular Schwinn wheel set, the complete 36 Huffman Mainliner and a set of nice cream color tires as well as another set on the Huffman.

Also found a picture of what the girls roadmaster should look like when it's put together.

So today my boss surprised me with this. He knows I'm into old-school bikes and he says hey I got something for you. 1984 Schwinn Thrasher! Has some incorrect parts but it's awesome. Gt mags, some cool bars, and chrome.

Absolute score! Those mid school mags and bars need to be swapped for more period stuff. But (I have no shame....) If you want to part with those bars please let me know

Cap is right. Those mags should be far from that bike. Probably at least a few hundred kilometers north and across a border should be safe

Those I got last time I went to Marion and got the Huffman. They will probably end up on the Nexus 4 speed wheel set I have.

them install them on this old Roadmaster I'm building up.

Love that old girls bike, im having visions of a small 2 stroke motor hidden behind panels on that thing! you'd almost not be able to see it!

Today's find came to me. A friend and fellow bike guy messaged me and said he just got this old Schwinn Predator if I was interested in it. Not in bad shape and came with some cool parts so I gave him $50 for it.

These bars I don't think are original but I like them and they will work till proper bars are found.

Then he mentions he has the top to the stem but lost the bolts...

Tuf-neck? Wonder if they are any good...I search it on eBay and well... Yeah. This was the cheapest of the ones I found.
