oven cleaner on headbadge

Is it safe to spray oven cleaner on my original swingbike headbasge that has been painted over? Or will it ruin it?

I would think it would remove the original paint too, can you tell what kind of paint they painted over it with?

That will take it down to bare metal intantly...

Use something way milder like maybe Simple Green or Spray 9 and a soft toothbrush scrubber.(Be gentle with it)

Ittle take the patience of a Saint...but it will come off.It may take weeks.

What about on a brass headbadge? would oven cleaner mess with that?

i dont care about the original paint i can get it re painted

is it brass? or nickle? if so it will strip he paint and do what you want. but youll hav to sand and wash it when your done. really good! it will get a dingy color so you have to sand it brghten it back up, and wash it to mk sure its all gone so it doesnt eat at the metal. done some badges off of other things before (cars, scales, etc.)

I cleaned paint off of one with a little water and my fingernail. Took about 4 hrs, but I got 'er, boy. That makes me the WINNER.
