Ok so I got my Roadmaster frame from Sonatageek ,and it was this black house paint color.....done with a coarse brush. I'm hearing from everbody that oven cleaner will take off the top layer of paint. So I go in and look in my cabinets for some oven cleaner.....none to be had. Asked my wife about that and she said we have a self cleaning oven. Go figure. Trot down to walleyworld and pickup some orange oven cleaner in a spray can. Smelled good while i was spraying it. The first problem was the 30 mph wind blew some on my face.....nothing at first....wow its starting to burn my skin. A quick wash and no dammage done. Anyway I left it on there for about 20 minutes . It attacked the black house paint and didnt touch the marroon paint underneath. I washed it off with a hose and it took off alot. The second application of it I used a stiff brush about 15 minutes in and it got about 99% of the black off. washed it again and let it dry. I looked at all the original marroon paint with the white darts and orange pinstriping and thought ...Man I can spray some clear on this and it will look really good ....Then I came back to reality....Naaa just buzz it all off and paint it nice. you thought I had changed huh? Anyway the oven cleaner will work.

Has your wife taken out some extra insurance lately? Grease in the eyes, now oven cleaner.

As for the paint. Nobody can change overnight, but at least you thought about keeping it. BTW ...I keep seeing green stuff in your photos,,What is it?

If your talking about the grass...We had a couple frosts and it had killed it off pretty good . We havent had any rain for a couple months and a few days ago it rained for 2 days straight ....light rain makes your stuff grow. So its back to mowing now that it has gotten going again.
