Spring is coming, YEY!!, and I want to change a few things on my trail queen. Its not rat rod but its bike related so Im here asking for advice, I just ordered new Diamondback stickers, Im stripping the frame and fork painting them flat green (not sure yet on color) but I want to put the stickers on clear coat em...would that work? I want it to have the UV business card effect, do you know what Im talking about? You could see it shine but only in certain sections I wanna do something related to the picture below. On top of it Im converting it to single speed :p

I want the flat to be there and the clear to be over the sticker...shinny

here is what I have as an idea for the frame ..

the dark green would be the flat the "light green / whitish" would be the clear I want to tape off and spray to cover the sticker, make the bike pop a little? ..dose this make any seance?

Depending on what clear you're using it should work. Some clears have allot of reducer in them and might bite into the sticker to much. Also since you're only painting the sticker and not the whole fork the clear might lift around the edges. It would work allot better if you cleared the whole part. Less likely the clear will lift around the edges of the sticker.A trick I've done in the part is to clear the whole part tenn let it dry and wet sand it with 800 grit then reclear it.
makes the sticker look like it's floatin in the clear and locks the sticker in a little better.

Im sitting on the idea now, Im looking at prices, if I go with it Im gonna rehab my bike for march, new wheels / tires convert to single speed and paint ..
