In my latest fresh finds post I showed a bike that I bought with rusty springer forks on it.It appears that the only way to salvage the forks are to paint them.I doubt if I can "save" the chrome on any of the parts.I'd like to see some builds with painted springers . Who has done one? How about ideas for replacement struts( the straight bars?) from hardware or plumbing pieces or ??? Maybe painted with some chrome would be ok.
