 So I bought one of those Cranbrooks b/c I had three gift cards to WM and the whole thing cost me $11 and some change. Anyway, I'm replacing parts and I want to change the pedals. I grabbed my 9/16th wrench and realized it was to small. Had to use a 5/8ths wrench to remove them (which was kinda loose). Uhmmm....what size pedals come in between those two sizes? I figure they're metric but who makes metric pedals? Am I stuck with these two brown pedals that don't match my ultimate plan? :x

p.s. leaving your Cranbrook out in Texas heat of 104 degrees for about 10 minutes really makes those stupid stickers come right off w/ no residue!

Try a 15mm. I think most pedals are that now a days. Pedal wrenches are nice if you don't have one. Some pedals are hard to fit a regular wrench into. Before I bought my cheapie tool kit, I thinned down a wrench with a grinding wheel. Most cruiser pedals can take a regular wrench though. Park makes one with 15mm and 9/16".

Thanks for the reply! However,I don't think I made myself very clear :? ....I've already removed the pedals. New bike and nothing was very tight, not much more than "finger-tight" so that was easy. I'm just trying to figure out what size to order to replace them...9/16" or 1/2" pedals?

one piece cranks are almost always 1/2" thread. 3 piece cranks are always 9/16" thread. The wrench area does not correspond with the threaded area in regards to wrench size.
