Brown Dog Bikes and Autocycle Twin Cities present: Pedals Optional Cycle Rally!
Sunday, October 10, 2010
Hexagon Bar 2600 27th Avenue South, Minneapolis
Cost: FREE

Just in time for fall, Brown Dog Bikes and Autocycle Twin Cities will be hosting a free, open to the public cycle rally focusing on a variety of motorized and non-motorized cycling options. Highlighted will be various “autocycles”, or bicycles with motorized kit additions comparable to moped style bikes. This new variety of automated cycling is just catching on in the Twin Cities area, likely to gain a huge following with a segment of the bicycling community. Many of these autocycles have a unique, vintage motorcycle look to them, while others are just simply unique! Also featured will be gorgeous non-motorized vintage bikes, “rat rod” bikes, mopeds and scooters (100cc and under). Judging and trophies for a variety of cycle related categories will take place at the event, all cycles are eligible!

Inside the Hexagon will be featured a loud and lively array of local Minneapolis music, every band featuring Autocycle and bicycle enthusiasts. Crankshaft, The Violent Shifters, Schlitz Kickers, Spent .50’s, and Kentucky Beltfight will get you kickin’ up your heels starting around 5:30. A raffle for cycle and various other items will happen throughout the event, items donated by Nokomis Cycle, Sunrise Bikes, Chrome, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Blue Cat Motors, Brown Dog Bikes, Pizza Luce, and Mev’s Vintage Clothing; donations for the raffle still being accepted.

Weather dependent, a cycle cruise will be taking place prior to the rally. Rally Starts at Spring Street Bar in NE Minneapolis at high NOON, then to Grumpy's Downtown by 2:30 and ending at the Hexagon Bar at 4:30.
Please look for further information regarding this and all of the day’s events at the Autocycle Twin Cities facebook page.
