Hello all, I've been going back and forth on how to get a cruiser bike with the features I want on it. I have been looking at getting a very basic new or used bike and building it up. I swung by the LBS the other day and saw some Phat Cycle cruisers they had there. While they did not have on in the shop, I was looking through the catalog and noticed the Rumble 29er. It has most of what I would want on my cruiser..Nexus internal hub, drum/disk brakes, cool looks (subjective I know.) About the only thing it is missing is a different rim color I would like. Other then that, the rest of the stuff would be bolt on/paint.

I am curious if anyone has any opinions about the quality of these bikes. Also, I am a taller guy, about 6'3" and like the idea that the 29" wheels might make for a bigger bike? Any drawbacks to those?

Thanks!
DAVE

I'm an owner of a Phat stretch and love the quality of the bike. Not exactly factory anymore, modified to my liking and it's strong and sturdy. I'm 6'-1" tall and I fit quite comfortably on it.
