picked up a pretty neat one today

I found this one today. It is a 24 inch tank bike, and it has a drum front brake! The wheels are NOS, as are the fenders. The tank appears to be NOS as well but I can not say for sure.

It is repainted. The guy who built it used NOS Schwinn S2 wheels, Fenders, tank, seat and tires. The brake is not one I hae seen before but it is pretty cool. It is realy a lot of nice parts.

Sweet I just got a Schwinn wasp with the same basic design on the paint, I wonder where you can get a mask to paint that decal on the tubes.

That is a great looking bike. I do not have a lot of 24 inch bikes but this one was too cute

They are on ebay all of the time for the 26 inch bikes but I am not sure if he sells them for the 24 inch bikes. For that matter they could be the same size and I just would not know.

Sweet, I need to get some. I am thinking of doing something original but not on it, like maybe gloss black with gloss red overlay or maybe a flat black with a red primer overlay, Maybe even something way off the wall, Neon green with Black overlay. I don't know. Something to make it really stand apart from the crowd but still have a vintage flavor to it.

Something like this, like the exact opposite of what you'd expect to see, maybe some cream fat franks to really pull off the whole look, black rims with white pinstripes. Everything the exact opposite of original but still with original flavor.
