I received this bike as payment for helping a guy clean up a few bikes, create some CL ads and give advice on selling stuff.

Got bored the other night and decided to play with parts to see what I could come up with.

The back tire just barely fits..rubs a tiny bit. This is sort of just a mock up for now.

I need an older looking seat...like an old wide Brooks saddle.

looks really cool! I would try bobbing the rear fender and putting it back on :)

That thought came to my mind too.

What is the best way of going about doing this?

I think in the end I will need to find some 24" wheels.

well the beauty of building ratrods I would mark it with a pencil then use tin snips and after that softly hammer the edge to flatten and sharpness and your done :)

pencil? tin snips? WOW........ youre old school hooch! jk i prefer tape cause it doesnt rub off and easier to see with a cut off wheel shooting hot metal shavings at your eyes

basement?!?!? what is this basement?? jk i was just giving ya a hard time!!!i love old school ways(i think im one of the few who would rather metal finish than mud or lead) now back to this basement thing..........where can i see one?

Awesome bike! Great patina. And being a big fan of minimalism I would chain it and ride her just the way she sits. It looks just right.

I would get a newer seat (soft n cushy) and keep your eyes open for a cheap old heavy coat to cover it with

Agree about bobbing the rear and keeping the paint. That thing is so close to perfect just as it is. An old Brooks would set it off just right.
