I got this off a guy who had it in the family since he was a kid. Im not a true Raleigh wiz but I believe it to be an MK1 chopper. The pedals I think are wrong, the grips, the calipers and the brake levers. Also the back wheel is wrong because he said he trashed it when he was young and has no idea where it is. The back tire is a 20" schwinn sting ray knobby tire, no cracks. It was repainted, rat style. The three speed shifter is sound and I think thats why I really bought the bike. I paid $150.00. Was this too much?
He made a shifter with a KFC toy i guess they gave back then with kids meals. Its a dog that bobs its when when you press the button on its side.
These are really rare in my neck of the woods. I had the MK3 and polished it everytime I rode it, then sold it to my boss who just likes to look at it from time to time. I always wanted one of these now i got my own!! (doing the happy dance.)
