I posted an add this morning on craigslist wanting to buy some old bikes to restore. Just got a phone call from a guy who said his friends husband used to collect old bikes & she has a barn full of about 100 bikes & they want to sell them all together for one price. Needless to say I'm leaving here now with oldride to check it out!!!!!!!

I had to pass. She started out at $2,000 for everything & came down to $1,000 for everything & she would not sell anything separate. Everything was 24" or 26" from the 40's & 50's but I only saw 2 bikes with tanks & about 8 bikes with springers (girls). One of the bikes was a boys silver king. Only about 2 bikes worth keeping & then I would be stuck trying to sell tons & tons of stuff along with taking a bunch of wheels & frames to the junk yard. To me it was way over priced, I'm sure you could make your money back but too time consuming. No ridable bikes by the way.

Nothing beats the HIGH of getting the phone call and thinking it is the Once in a lifetime find. and then you get there and it is nothing but just a bunch of old bikes and it just takes the wind out of your sails. Have you got any other calls about your ad Mark.
