I decided to go with three votes in each category for my voting which made it more about having to decide which ones not to vote for instead of the other way around. It was tough to leave a few bikes out of my votes, but that just made me look even harder at all of the aspects of the builds from start to finish. It was fun to dig into some of the builds that I hadn't followed closely. Congrats to all of the finishers and to all of my picks! -Jim

Same. Gut feeling is nice but we have such broad talent that they all really deserve to have the build threads perused to determine which is tops. Just my opinion

and heres me thinking I was being silly voting for a few and leaving some out! there was 2 of the 3 categories in the build off where I really liked the whole lot and it was hard to leave just one single bike out!

I have been inspired by the builds that I saw in this, my first buildoff and have been encouraged to further persue my hobby. How awesome is this community!
Brace yourself and warn your family about the unending stream of bikes that will be coming your way in the near future!

When the word gets out that you like old bikes they just start falling into your lap. I have turned down about 8 or 9 bikes in the past 3 weeks. It was hard to do, but I have to be very selective at this point. It is hard. I think about the bikes I turned away several times a day. Maybe it was a mistake, but a man only has so much storage space.

You'll learn to stash the bikes. My garage back in Florida looked like I had 14 bikes, but there were 36 bikes in there. I dismantled a lot of them and stacked the frames in the rafters and stacked the wheels together. An old file cabinet can hold a ton of parts.

Dang it Wildcat. Now I am really regretting turning these down. Here is a taste of what I turned down.

Honored to have been a participant congratulations on all of the awesome builds. I wasn’t aware of the ability to choose more than one in any category, but either way I cannot wait for the next one. One love, y’all.

Okay I’m missing a period after participant 🤔

You must read the rules carefully, because they will probably change for the next contest, as they did from the last one.

I voted for four muscle bikes and I voted for four skinny bikes, but I ended up voting for about seven off-road bikes because I don’t know anything about them.

Myownself, I managed to have endless fun and turn a whole bunch of disorganized parts, plus a bunch of new parts, into three more bicycles. Plus I have the beginnings of a baby chopper and a hybrid tricycle lining up.

What’s not to love?

I’ve a roadster that I had actually started on but is in a state of incompletion. This would give me more time to tweak it as I’ve been floating ideas in my head.

To quote Homer Simpson….,”D-oh!”. Should have seen that…

Isn’t that the truth…

I wish getting them would be as easy here in EU :D
I hunt for old Schwinns, Roadmasters and Murrays night and days, but there are just not so many of them out there. Leaving alone the other more rare bikes or some cool fully equipped models with springer forks, deep fenders, nice racks and all these desired parts :D
