Almost three weeks late, a burst of inspiration emerged this weekend. I won't have much time to devote due to client bikes having priority, but I'm hoping to squeeze in enough time to make this happen.

What kind of insect is that? Whatever you have in mind for this build, it should be good.

We'll see if it's good or not. Something very different this time. Circa 1980

Yeah, we don’t get those critters around here. We do get black bears, rattlesnakes and the occasional rogue cow however.

2024 will be a banner year for Cicadas here in the US. They get very loud. There will be plenty in Pennsylvania. More info:

I've had this build in mind for several years but it always stayed low on my projects list.

This was the spark that reignited the fire. I just got it yesterday and the wheels started turning in my head again.

I thought that first Pic reminded me of something. Is it a Velo Solex or some other vintage euro moped?

I always loved those art deco car heaters. I always thought they'd make a cool vintage robot head. Kind of makes me think of Rodney Copperbottom as it is! Looking forward to seeing what you build around that heater!

South Wind Susie really is hot! Dress practically falling off. I think her drawers too? And one eye is on her forehead! We all know what that means! Gonna be a hot time in the back seat tonight! Susie's a tramp.

The heater unit has a kind of Iron Giant or Rocketeer vibe to it. Awesome.

I forgot that I had 2/3 of the plastic foot guard thingy. It won't be used even if I had both sides but I took some pics anyway.

I like the long exhaust pipe!

I'm guessing that South Wind car heater sales grew exponentially among unattractive single men during that time.
