so i've got a frame that was brushed with house paint in it's former life. it's pretty chalky, rubs off easy, but the brush strokes and how they're wearing is SO cool, i'd like to preserve the look. would a thorough waxing work, or is there a clear that would preserve house paint like i've described?

it's to be a board track build with the skip tooth chainring it came with. have some digging to do to round up the other necessary parts.

Would have to presume that since it rubs off easily waxing it would only do the same. A clear coat would be less disruptive to the paint but even that might let loose since the bottom coat is not sticking. But I would give it a try. If it sticks for awhile great. Then just repaint when needed.
