I'm trying to clean and grease a Schwinn front hub, unknown year, the bearings and dust shields dont want to come out, seems they are a pressed fit. I tried a large nail with the head on the back of the bearing cage, they don't want to drive out. The components are not that crusty, is the fit just that tight, must actually be pressed? OR did I just not press in the right spot, keep trying OR, ... at that point, do you just clean in place as best you can then grease in place and drive on?
