I wanted to build something special for the upcoming show at the shop so I started on this a few months ago. Its a late 50s j.c. higgins Flightliner. I sent all the chrome off and had it all triple plated. The frame is Dupont Inca Gold and cream. The chainguard is off of a same era Murray and the rest is pretty much stock minus the seat, bars, and flipped fork and tires. Tires are schwalbe 26x2.2 and 26x1.3 racing tires. Now it just needs pinstriping and lettering. . . That should be done before February.

critter1 - it isn't difficult to reassemble the fork if you have to good buddies to hold it down while you pry the spring near the plate the holds it. its really hard to line the rod up to fit throught the hole that holds the spring in place. the handlebars were made by wald in the sixties and i haven't seen many around. i got them from a member on this site.
