Have my Murray Valiant on craigslist for 99.00 thinking maybe too low? would 140.00 be too high?
Just your thoughts...thanks.

It looks like some generic or aftermarket parts. i.e., the rack and springer fork. It depends on the market in your area. In my area it would be tough to get $50 for it. You just need to find the right person I guess. A couple years ago I couldn't get $30 for a 30's mens Western Flyer with a very unusual skiptooth chainring and a good chain. In fact the bike was almost ridable. Today, I got $20 for a girls muscle bike with rusted out wheels, cracked tires, no seat, no handlebars. The muscle bike is nothing rare, especially compared to a prewar bike like the WF. But if the right person comes along...

Mine was rusty and it sold for $50. I have seen Valiant's years back for $199 but $140 isn't bad although $99 is a good deal.

Other than the missing decals it loos all original and not aftermarket. Murray was trying to be retro by making some of their bikes with springer forks and such. Murray also brought back the Mercury name and the JC Higgins name too.
