What's the widest rim that a set of Mooneyes Moon Discs can fit?
This was my concern as well.....But the dish of the hubs in relation to the rim edge may cause you problemsWidth of the rim shouldn't be an issue. But the dish of the hubs in relation to the rim edge may cause you problems. I believe @marshall hudson ran into this problem on his RollinBones build a couple of build offs ago. I don't remember how he worked it out though.
Rollin bones
Rollin bones has crossed the finish line. I started with a flat black and bare steel 1941 curved tube Elgin. Four months and a big pile of parts later it's a smooth riding rat. I hope you like what i have thrown together. My second build off in the books. I enjoyed the ride. PARTS LIST 1941...ratrodbikes.com
I emailed them:I wonder if Mooneyes can give you the dish measurements of their front and back discs?
If I remember right, I think one of the rear discs has the same dish as the front discs, but the drive side rear dish is either flatter or deeper (can't remember which). The drive side rear also has a bigger center hole if I remember right.
