My brother gave mea WF skiptooth wheel and matching sprocket with cranks. The cranks are dated like a Schwinn, SA 10 61 stamped in the middle. Could they be Western Flyer, or is it a replacement someone took from a Schwinn?

Second question is on skiptooth sprockets, Were they manufactured as late as 1961, as the cranks say? I always thought they were early 50's and before.

Lots of different cranks have numbers on them, I never really paid much attention to them. The only ones I have heard of being specifically and clearly date marked are Schwinn. I can't say if that's what you have or not, but it kind of sounds like it. If you don't get any better answers, check this post tomorrow for link to more info.
