Im on a mini weekend vacation to Rapid City, South Dakota. Really neat area of the world that I havent seen before. The Black Hills are very scenic. We flew in yesterday and had enough time to do a little sightseeing.

Drove thru Bear Country and saw some bears...

Also drove up to Mount Rushmore, seeing it in person is just amazing!

Today while the women are shopping I hope to go downtown to Cranky Jeff's bike shop and see if they will rent me a bike so I can go for a little ride and check things out.

Beautiful country. Speaking of George... That area has one of the best (imho) rails-to-trails. The George S. Mickelson Trail.

Well the bike ride was a no-go. Cranky Jeff's dont rent bikes but they suggested I try The Two Wheeler Dealer bike shop. By the time we got there they were out of rental bikes... bummer!

Did some more sightseeing and what not, tomorrow we are hitting Lake Pactola to try and catch a few fish.

And yeah I wanted to climb up there to make sure George didnt have any "boogies" but I didnt feel like getting shot at with high power rifles.
