Hey Friends, haven't posted in a while, sorry, this summer has been wild.
This is my latest. Originally found this thinking it was a Shelby, but once I saw the location of the seat post pinch bolt (in the frame) I thought I was wrong. After much searching and some help from a friend in California, we now know it is a Rare Shelby, from the mid 30's.
The old boy I got it from had left the years of stories on the bike, along with 2/3rds of the original parts. he had the hubs, all bearings, and a set of mid 50's Schwinn wheels all rebuilt. This bike rides like it did new. I've added and subtracted some parts, plus built a seat, and this is how she sits now. Rat on the outside, cream puff on the inside.
All original parts have been stored, no parts butcher here!
