I have been into Musclecars quite a while not so much lately (something to do with bikes) but a certain 72 Monte Carlo has kinda tormented me trying to get photo's of it in the little town I lived in. Now Musclecar you think of Yenko Camaro's, Motion Chevrolet Dana ect... but how many have heard of or seen one of these,72 Milwaukee Classic, this is how it came from the dealership paint, accessories and a 454, buckets console and it only has something 57.000 miles 2nd owner drives it like once a year

man that rings back alot of memories. My dad had a 71 monte carlo I loved that car. I've never heard of the model you have though. It might be worth some money. either way it's a really nice looking monte!
I wish this was mine, mine needs a little more work than this one I have never even heard of another one of this edition.

It looks like something Huggy Bear would drive.
Thats what I thought when I first seen it , then I found out it was sold like that new, I guess that was the era....wheres them bell bottoms

Have you researched it at all, it could just be a dealer trim option. While unique, not all that big of a deal. I know in the 50's dodge sold 300's (i believe) in texas with special "texas" badging and paint. They seem to be neat to find, but more of a novelty than anything.

I had to search... I was right, a special dealer promo by Jim Wanger Chevrolet. They did impalas the same way the next year:
http://global.ebay.com/viItem?ItemId=350024733907 you can read the literature on there and it mentions the Monte from the previous year.
Still pretty neat!!!

What makes this really unusual beside the obvious graphics is the fact that they stopped making SS454's in 71 now my understanding is you could get a big block in a Monte Carlo Custom that year but I believe you could only get the 402.

Gotcha, i totally missed the 454 connection at first...
Its interesting to me because all the add ons to that car do not say "musclecar"... you know, fenderskirts, chrome grill surround etc...

My Dad had a 70 MC that he bought new and kept up until the mid 90s.

Just can't past that ugly Rolls Royce like hood add on. :?

Reminds me of those kits you buy for old VWs.

a highschool buddy of mine had a 72 with a 402 in it man was it a sleeper. those old turbo 400 trannys you would hold the shifter in low gear and it would still shift to second at about 55 mph and just fry the tires all over again!
BTW personally thats one of the ugliest cars I have seen lol
reminds me of a 1967-1970 Eldorado Del cavallero
