Rat Fink Stem Size/Specifications Clarification Questions :)

Hi everyone...

I have a 2011 Rat Fink and I am trying to find out the specifications for the stem. I have found conflicting information...I have read that the steering diameter of the opening of the stem is both 1" as well as 1 1/8". Which is correct for the stem?

Also I have read conflicting info (some from Electra themselves) regarding the handlebar mounting size...is it 7/8" (22.2mm) or 1" (25.4mm)???


So to sum up...on an Electra Rat Fink stem:

1) Is the steering opening 1" or 1 1/8"?
2) Is the handlebar clamp size 7/8" or 1"?

hey Jeff,

Ratfink headsets are 1 1/8 and the bars are 7/8 clamp size

1 1/8 threadless on mine anyway but it is old.

So since the headset is 1 1/8" then a stem that specifically states 1 1/8" will work fine?

stems go in or around the steerer tube. In, on a threaded fork and around on a threadless fork. So yes, anything for 1 1/8" and the correct style will work.
