I pulled the fenders and got the chain guard fitting better, in my opinion.

I have this set of fenders that were billed as Shelby. I think that they may be Shelby fenders, but the paint job isn't.

I also have a holey sprocket that I kicked around the idea of using in place of the Shelby version.

Stuck it on the bike.

Looks good but I would have to switch to skiptooth. Not a deal breaker but I was thinking of using this:

Getting painted for sure. Might get trimmed also.

Exploring wheel options
Shelby drop centers

Ratty chrome mtb wheels. front hub has speed holes.

Painted steelies. Maybe from a Huffy.

More ratty drop centers from a Monark

Set of Schwinn S-2 rims with fore brake shell. Sadly no brake guts. Probably my favorite set out of the bunch.

Finally, I'm sitting on a set of Berm Masters (24 x 3) that I would need to come up with a set of rims. Not 100% if they will fit though.

I believe this will be my wheelset. Will need to get new spokes ordered, ovbiously.

Fit up the front hub

I plan on running this hub even though I don't have the backing plate or shoes. I will try to make a holey cover to match the right side.

Nope. I'm liking the pace. Doing the same. After hectic builds in the past, I kinda like that mode.

I like the red one more also. It may have been on an old Farmall tractor originally. I will have to come up with a bracket for either light to get it to sit just right. I should be able to fit an LED conversion into either one.

Worked on the fore brake hub today.
Found this at a thrift store today. It should make a good filler for the other side of the hub.

Needed a centering hole.

Ground off the ring.

Makeshift arbor

Chucked this up in the drill and ground down on the bench grinder while spinning.

Finished product.

I don't think I will try to add holes to match the other side. It got pretty flimsy after I ground the ring off. Plus it got pretty hard to hold onto while drilling.
