long before RATRODBIKES.com back in the early 80s was this his and hers pair of cobbeled aka ratted together bikes, they served us well
and still ride just fine on 30 yo tires , what ever parts were on hand is what got used, cut, welded or beat into place with a hammer and
rattle can paint we call them the Moth Ball fleet as they dont get used much anymore but I had to pull them out for a ride.
Oh the memories

was thinking about giving them a makeover.....naw forget it they work just fine

Thanks guys but they really aren't that nice but what I was trying to do was make a statement with them cuz this rat rod thing really is
nothing new we have been building these bikes a long time.... started for me back in the early seventies when I was still a pup.
they were built from necesity to ride on a low budget and usually the only money spent was for a can of paint.
I you look close you can see on the girly bike where the chain guard is welded in place to the rear fender and on the Schwinn the seat post
was wrong ....just a bit big so it was installed with a bfh after cutting a slot down the seat tube.....gee I have the correct post now
wonder if I can fix it

johnny I think the crank sprocket was from murray built sears bike but I just dont recall
