I bought this '80s Murray beach cruiser a while ago with a specific build in mind, since I fell in love with the lines of the frame. A little sleeker than the old Schwinn cantis, and I liked the way the dropouts formed kind of a compound curve to the top tube. Unfortunately, the project didn't work out the way I wanted, so it just sat in the middle of the work room as kind of a constant reminder of a lost cause. Then the other afternoon I noticed several pieces laying around it that were matching colours, and tossed them all on, on a whim: tan/gumwall Specialized Rhythm tires (26 x 2.3), tan Brooks saddle, and tan leather grips. Topped it off with some mid-rise apes. Ta-da: "Rawhide". :mrgreen: Simple stuff, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. Rides VERY nice:
came out really nice and those tires are rockin`! been looking for an excuse to pick up a pair of those. 8)
