They are challenging to come across. Took me about 6 month to find one at a price I was willing to pay. They were offered to me in the $40-$75 range.is there a conversion bracket to change a schwinn single speed ballooner or midleweight frame to install a caliper brake when u have a non coaster 3 speed hub?
I need those as calipers don't give me enough braking power. I've only found the bolt on kind for the tubular forks like your pic shows. I'm still looking. That's a neat little gadget! I was going to suggest using clamp-on cantilever bosses.

Was thinking of same yesterday. I'm almost sure it should work.I gotta wonder if something like that Weinmann adapter couldn't be fashioned by grinding a relief across one of these bad boys, drilling a mounting hole, and adding a stud for the caliper assembly. The cost of this fitting less than two bucks at Home Depot.
