Not anything new and I dont' think anything old. 48 hole rims are mostly a BMX use.

24h New Departure D hubs are out there. IMO with good spokes, rim, and wheel-builder, it would be plenty strong.

Swear I remember GT/Dyno using an import hub that was a 48 hole freecoaster, that I replaced the guts in to make a coaster brake..... Let me think on this.... Chang Star???
