Recycling payoff

I got a call saying I had won one of the prizes in the contest they had here in Navy Housing. It was a photo contest with 3 categories, safety, recycling, and family support. I entered a bike I built in the recycling category and won, and will be featured on one month on their Navy wide calendar. I also won a new flip video camera for this.

Thanks! Mayport NS is still in business, ships and helos. We get a lot of ships and jets visiting so we stay busy. I always wanted Mayport when I was in the Navy, couldn't get it until I retired.

I just wish I could have joined the services. Type 1 Diabetes kept me out. My stepdad was in the navy on nuclear subs. I would have loved to follow suit.

Thats really cool, so many people dont think of rebuilding old bikes as recycling.

You should probably submit that photo for the 2012 RRB photo contest! Who knows--you could win yourself a couple different things from the same image 8)
