I picked up this redline this morning for $5 at a flea market. I figured out the year I believe it is a 2003 just haven't figured out the model.

I seen like 3 models with the top tube like that but don't see any with the cable guides on the top tube. Thanks in advance

Redline Slam maybe? Seat stay U mounts make me think so
I've looked through the pics on the BMX museum for 2003 didn't see a slam until 2005 I think. Tried to find a redline 2003 catalog with no luck. What level was the slam? I measured the top tube and it was 21" but without some specs on 2003 models I won't know

Why are you thinking it's an 03

Finally figured out the model after disassemble looked on the fork and seen this

so guessing it is a 04 smack. Nothing special but still better than others I had growing up. I've gotten the bike apart and the frame and fork stripped and primed.

thinking I will go white with red accents. Next thing will be getting all the small parts in my sandblasting cabinet to get them ready for primer and paint.

Had some time over the weekend to get some painting done got the red coat for the graphics done last weekend then finally got my daughter to cut the lettering out on her cricut.

Then Sunday I got the white top coat sprayed let it bake in the sun for a while then pealed the graphics off.

While I was letting the paint dry on the frame and fork got some color on the cranks and sprocket. Also Saturday I went to work on the pedals getting all the paint off and just giving them a brushed aluminum look using a soft wire brush in my drill.

Thought I got some pics of the cranks and sprocket but guess I didn't will try and remember to next time I go out to my shop.

Been assembling the bike here and there till I was waiting on parts to come in the USPS lost.

I needed some keeper washers for the front wheel but only ones I had was for 3/8 dropouts (which is what the wheels I am using is )but needed a way to adapt to fit 14mm . Looking around my shop for anything that would fit and the only thing I found was the top of a seatpost I think might have came off a Schwinn. Cut the end off and it fit perfectly on the safety washer

So with that taking care of just needed brake cables, grips, 3/8 to 14 mm adapter wheel nuts and couple other things that was lost in the mail.
That stuff finally came in Saturday about a week late. Got in a building grove and finished up the bike and took it out for a test spin. Needed a couple adjustments like the brakes and headset needed a little tightening up.

I looking for a sticker to finish it off but other than that I think I'm going to change the cassette to a 16 or 15 has a 18 now but it's to low geared for cruising around.
How much change will I get dropping 2 or 3 teeth on the cassette?

I figured that the sprocket was wore out but thought I could make it work but I was wrong.
I've tried looking on line but haven't found one like this one. I can only find one's with a smooth hole in the center instead of one with groves like the one I have.
Does it have to have or can it be a smooth hole.
The sprocket is a 39 tooth
