reflectors?

you guys all like em or not ? just wonderin if any of ya put them on your builds Ive got some lying around and sure some are old

They are a legal requirement where I live, or lighting, and lighting is mandatory on highways after dusk. Style-wise, the older the better, IMO. Pedal and wheel reflectors aren't real pretty, but they're the ones that people driving are the most likely to notice.

i don't go crazy with them like when i was young, but i do try to do at least one facing each direction if i can.

i'm putting a bike back together after paint and i'm using reflective tape in a few spots on it. lets you do a few little custom things, especially if you know someone who can laser cut something for you (i don't so it's just a few circles and maybe a few stripes for me).

also, hope it's not off topic or seeming like a thread takeover, but has anyone tried those reflective rim strips? i think i might want to experiment with that.

i think i started removing reflectors from bikes when i was about ten.
its not until i started visiting rrb a few years ago, that i've found a new respect for old reflectors.

for the most part i still find them to be a little dorky, but every once in a while i find that cool vintage reflector that needs its moment in the sun.
