Got a bunch of bikes off a guy out in the sticks about a year and a half ago and I just went back to see what goodies he's come up with. Came home with 4 bikes and an advertising bike rack. Not real exciting but got a couple flippers to counter the cost of it all.

First is some unknown Canadian bmx.

Second is also a Canadian brand 10 speed

The last 2 I might keep. A mens 40's Sunshine ballooner with rewelded top tube for some unknown reason and a 30's-40's CCM womans ballooner.

And lastly, and this is definately not gonna be for sale, is a 6 bike rack made for The Toronto Star which is a newspaper put out in .......Toronto! Still with the original metal tag on it. No idea how old it is and I don't really care, its just too cool.

Hmmm, wonder why the headtube was welded? maybe someone changed their mind about building a chopper. But now that I mention it......  :?

I need to come along to this barn with ya!
I took everything worth taking but he said he'd keep the ballooners coming for me if I'll buy them, and of course I said I would. If there is anything that catches your eye let me know Jord.

Nice haul! I love those old Sunshine cruisers. It's very Shelby-ish! If only they were around in the U.S.

At least, the downtube and front toptube welds look strong and well done. I think with some good hand filing you could clean those off like nothing ever happened. As for the rear one.. if you have a welder, it might be worth cutting the weld and re-welding it for a straighter/cleaner joint. Then it could be filed clean too.

Ya , I was thinking the same thing. No welder though so I might just see how nice the welds grind down.

That first BMX bike just looks like a redline with the guesset and drop outs. Might be a diamond back too I can't tell. Matt

It does look like a Redline, I remember they had tubes that went past the dropout of the fork just like that in their early days and the gusset is very Redline too.

Now ya got me curious, I'm gonna have to check it out today.

Alright, just dragged this bmx in for a few quik pics on the details so you guys can clarify what it is. I'm pretty sure its nothing. I scraped some of the white house paint off of the head tube to reveal a Fox Canada brand headbadge. I don't see Redline on anything so I'm guessing it's not one. Oh well, some neighborhood kid is gonna love it.

Theres never any CCM balloontire bikes here in my area., when theres one not far away they want a silly price for it or have butchered it. I went to something like a bike gravyard last year but no balloon tire nes, only the lightweights. neat finds.
