Replacing mirrors

Has anyone here attempted to replace the actual glass in their bike mirrors? I just bought the mirror I needed from a member here, but the glass was chipped and apparently stained from beneath by rust. So I took the glass out. Now I'm just wondering how I'm going to get a new piece in there. Any suggestions?

I think I paid like 5 dollars to replace the glass on a Monte Carlo mirror at a glass shop.
